This Disk is Write-Protected

In this case, the cable can still be read, but can not be written or to store data. If it will be used to store the data will show a message like this: 

If an incident such as above, then try to follow the tips below:

1.       Open the Registry Editor (Start Menu> Run, type: regedit and press enter / click OK)

2.       Find the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies

3.       If the panel WriteProtect have the right, double click and fill in the data value 0 or delete WriteProtect or can also delete the key StorageDevicePolicies. Then refresh (View> Refresh)

4.       Try a loose USB Flash Disk copy the data and repeat

 

Conversely, to restrict the user's computer that can not write, copy or move data in flash disk, it can be done with the following tips: 

1.       Open the Registry Editor (Start Menu> Run, type: regedit and press enter / click OK)

2.       Search Key (looks like a folder) the following  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control

3.       Create a new key (right-click menu and select New> Key, then name StorageDevicePolicies

4.       Then open StorageDevicePolicies key and right click select New> DWORD Value name WriteProtect

5.       Double click WriteProtect is, in the value and contents of the data with a value of 1. Click OK

CurrentControlSet addition, conversion must also be key in the ControlSet001, ControlSet002, and so if you have one. So at the check in the following Key: 

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet001 \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ ControlSet002 \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies

Once in the set as above, then all users who use a computer can not save, mencopy or transfer data to a USB Flash Disk, no need me to restart the computer first. So the message appears write-protected disk as above. Tips can be run on Windows XP SP2 and SP3, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 2008
